Half Term homework

Half term Homework

Look After yourself!

  • Ride your bike
  • Go swimming
  • Visit the Park
  • Organise some running races
  • Skip with a rope and try to beat 100 skips
  • Choreograph a dance like we do in Wake’n’Shake

Eat some fruit every day

Drink plenty of water

Help out at home

Offer to help with:

  • Tidying up (especially your mess!)
  • Hoovering
  • Washing up
  • Reading to younger brothers and sisters
  • Help with cooking
  • Do a kind act for everyone in your family

Local visits

  • Go to the library and read for an hour
  • Go to Bristol Museum at the top of Parkstreet and make some notes to share (there is a wonderful Wild life photograpy exhibition on at the moment)
  • Walk to Nelson street and make sketches of the Graffiti
  • Check out some prices in the supermarket and make up some sums up using multiplication, fractions and percentages.
  • Go up Cabot tower (Brandon Hill Park halfway up Parkstreet) Take in the amazing view
  • Go to Cabot Circus and collect some data about the shops there.

Don’t forget your learning

  • Do 20 minutes of Mathletics every day
  • Read your book for 30 minutes everyday
  • Practice your tables and division facts
  • Work on spelling your Keywords (http://www.firstschoolyears.com/literacy/word/other/hfw/worksheets/Further%20Spelling%20List.pdf
  • Copy out a page of your reading book in your very best handwriting
  • Check out our blog I will put up something new everyday (don’t forget to leave a comment)
  • Read an information text and try to remember at least three pieces of information and tell 4 people what you know
  • Improve your typing with Dance Mat typing (On our Blog)
  • Send a postcard to our school (for real! we can hang them up in our room)
  • Write a diary of all the things you have done.

    1. i know davia it is like 2 thousend lines or more and i done some of the list and it is fun and i dont get bored any more when i am bored i can just do some of this amazing list cant i miss caldwell and i will keep energetic like they do in active for life.

  6. Mariam, I did a google search for 'Dance mat typing' and it came up ! Next time you can't find something try doing a 'search'
